Jacob Long

Jake attends Lancaster Bible College with a major Pre-Seminary as well as a major in Biblical Studies. This will be Jake’s first summer at Truth Quest Ministries, and he is excited for this opportunity to grow in Christ alongside the students. Jake has always had a heart for discipleship. He said “I look for every opportunity to disciple people because I remember how it felt, and how it currently feels, to be discipled. It is a time of growth and understanding of the wonderful living Word that God has given us. I hope to share the same feelings I had of love and guidance to the campers. I am also prepared to have them teach me”. Building fruitful relationships is a goal that Jake would like to reach while being a counselor. He intends to have a relational influence on the campers as he spends time with them and be able to help implement a stronger desire to serve the Lord. He looks forward to learning as much as he can not only about the campers but also himself through this experience. Jakes favorite Bible verse is Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble in dread before them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not fail you or abandon you.”. It reminds him that God is always there and he is faithful to his promises.
